Extended note: community badge project
In late 2025, a Daegu meetup group used our articles on accounts and the workshop counter template as the starting point for a attendance-badge program. Three members attended the workshop; two continued independently.
Their blocker was rent calculation on metadata accounts — they booked a mentoring hour, adjusted account sizing, and deployed to devnet before a local demo day. The badge UI stayed off-scope for us; we reviewed only the on-chain program and test suite.
They reported the glossary’s “rent-exempt minimum” entry as the most-revisited page during the project. One member said the printed booklet was easier to annotate than browser tabs during pair programming.
